Ed, I found some information that may help you. In the South China Morning Post in the Technology Section on April 26, 1999, I saw an articl entitled "Serious Y2K risks in embedded systems report". In the article it cites a report by BSC Consulting a London-based IT consultancy firm. They surveyed 38,361 systems involving telecommunications, medical equipment, utilities etc. They found 6.8% are noncompliant. This is significantly higher than the Gartner Group's findings.

As to the above post, kindly provide a link to the mentioned article. I have done a search of the South China Morning Post site and come up with nothing on "embedded systems" or the "BSC Consulting" listed in your post. I trust you can clear this up.
