Here's what I think. Evil Black-Clad Secret- Ops Agents (okay -- or maybe just idiots) make comments like this publicly. Then, the government (read: media) uses one of these brilliant comments as an "example." Then, the government has yet one more excuse to crack down on everything from free speech to bearing arms to you name it, to "protect" us from whackos like these. Then, stuff that goes wrong at Y2K, instead of being the gov'ts fault for not getting their ass in gear soon enough, can be the fault of "terrorism" which they will then have to take more control to "prevent." Go watch the movie "Brazil" for a weird but good example of this.
