I understand that this lens has been introduced in some countries and not others. It is supposed to replace the existing consumer 80-200 f/4-5.6 zoom. If you live in a country where the lens or information on it is available, please share.

Stanley, It is a low price telephoto zoom lens with a plastic mount. In spite of its low price, it has 7 blades rounded diaphragm design and the elements are coated with Nikon Super Integrated Coating (unlike the cheap 35-80mmf4-5.6D). The other data include: f4.5-5.6 to f32; 12 elements in 9 groups, closest focus to 1.5m; macro ratio 1:5; rotating zoom; no distance scale; filter size is 52mm; Dimension 72mmx122mm; weight 410g.
