Strap for BP-50 Battery Pack

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Canon EOS FAQ forum : One Thread

I just purchased the BP-50 battery pack for my Elan II and am pleased so far. The instructions mention the Hand Strap E1, which attaches to the side of both camera and battery pack. Does anyone have any experience with this strap? Useful, or are there some other on-the-side straps that function better?

Thanks, Maury

maury, I bought one for my EOS-3 and PB-E2 booster, and for $25 I was rather shocked when I first opened the package (it isn't much). however, it is padded nicely, has strong straps, a Canon logo on the front, does the job, and is worth about $5. on the other hand, how long would it take me to make my own? a lot more than $5 worth of my time. not sure if there are alternatives that don't charge $20 for the Canon logo, but there might be. my complaint is that it is a pain to take on and off, everytime I decide to dispense with the motor drive. a lot easier to hang the camera around my neck with the included strap.

I have a Hand Strap E1. As mentioned before it is a little pricey for what you get but it works. I use it on my EOS-1 with the PB-E1 for all types of photography work. It makes holding on to a heavy camera package a whole lot easier.

My Humble opinion, Brian
