Enrique,

Canon 1673 states that several tribunals are competent including the tribunal of the place where the marriage was celebrated, the tribunal of the place where the persons live, the tribunal of the place where most of the factual data of the case can be found. Each bishop should have a marriage tribunal to facilitate trials of annulment.

The exception is for those cases which are reserved to the Holy See alone (non-consummation cases, heads of governments etc.)

God Bless.

What does the Bible say?

From a moral point of view one precept of a lawful Church marraige is that of both parties being fully aware and of a free will when entering the agreement.

So many due to emotional needs of deprivation at all ages enter to satisfy a need that is not based on giving love. C.S Lewis termed this sub-human love in which when satified the person moves on to a next level of needs leaving in most cases a husk of person left behind

But, what does the Bible say?

Jamie,

Those who perhas like yourself take the bible and count the dots and squares and all of that cheat themselves of the gift given to you directly and that is free will.

Once on a retreat I was told just don't sit there - THINK!!

Jamey,

Just curious, what does the bible say about Sola Scriptura?

-- ubi (ubi@petros.com), May 13, 1999.

Jamey, It say's nothing about sola scriptura. I does say that the Church is the pillar and foudation of Truth though!
