MHRN: Extremists Using Y2K Scare Tactics

Updated 6:14 AM ET May 6, 1999

(HELENA) -- The Montana Human Rights Network says right wing extremist groups are using current fears about the Y-Two-K computer bug to further their agendas. Right wing groups such as the Militia of Montana are promoting what the Network calls

"futuristic paranoia"... a mix of fears about federal government intrusion, United Nations activities, gays, and abortion. The Human Rights Network says the groups are using the hype to increase attendance at public meetings.

Not surprising that dimbulbs of the extreme right would try to utilize paranoia. We see this approach all the time here by our own two-toothed militia member: the execrable INVARiably IDIOTic.

You just blew your cover Norm.

-- SCOTTY (BLehman202@aol.com), May 06, 1999.

The unorganized militia is the whole body of the people. It is not the National Guard, but the true Home Guard. One of these days you will be glad "WE are everywhere! I am 67 and I still have all my teeth and a good shotgun.Betty Alice, Senior citizens militia, Ohio.

Rumor has it that Norm and Y2K Pro are the two queers doing the new Budweiser commercials! I don't have the number handy, but there is a toll-free 888 number to call Budweiser if you don't like a couple of homos selling you beer on TV.

Maybe if we are nice to them here they will sell us their signatures!

-- kiddin' (funnyguy@internet.vr), May 06, 1999.

not surprising that dimbulbs of the extreme left would lump all conservative concerns under the heading of right wing extremist paranoia.

-- Cowardly Lion (cl0001@hotmail.com), May 06, 1999.

And what praytell is our "Right Wing Agenda" that we wish to further??

Attendance at the local Right Wing Conspiracy meetings??

This just continues the..........er you know what, nevermind. I think it's time someone on the Conservative side starts fighting fire with fire.

Subject: Leftists and Socialists Using Conservative/Patriot Scare tactics.

Updated 10:10 AM ET May 6, 1999

(Washington) -- The Common Sense of Most Americans says Left wing extremist groups, hell-bent on destroying individual and national sovereignty are using current fears about the rush towards self- reliance and demand for responsibility in light of Y2K concerns to further their agendas. Socialists, Leftists and Anti-American Globalists such as the Clinton Administration, NOW, the ACLU, FEMA and hosts of Liberals are promoting what Americans call "conservative paranoia"...a mix of virulent hatreds of individuals exercising freedoms, cherishment of values, prudent inventories towards self- reliance, a distrust of government, disgust of the Clinton Administration and the return to Constitutional Govenment limits of power. The Common Sense of Most Americans says these groups are using massive propaganda, demouguoging and fear-mongering to increase their hold on power and to move the nation by irrational fears into centrallized government control.

As some Leftists have stated on public Forum, "We need to either put these Right Wing wacko's and potential Insurrectionists into guarded camps, or we should eliminate them altogether for the public good. We should start by arresting their cult-leaders Rush Limbaugh, G. Gordon Liddy and Oliver North (who should be rotting in prison), charging them with treason and executing them. Americans need to realize these people are dangerous to our way of life and to the stability of our culture". - Mavis Brau 7-28-98

I think the above quote and the vitriol expressed by most pollyannas that show their Leftist ideologies explain the "Lock and Load" mentality a huge number of us Americans now have...Y2K or not.

And Pro(phylactic), what makes you think I'm a militia member? My use of vulgarities to describe you? You sound afraid. Good. You should be.

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

And as far as accusatories about paranoia, look in the mirror jackass.

It's what you dimwits on the Left utilize to demonize anyone you ideologically fear. Mainly because you cannot articulate arguments logically, only emotionally.

Because that's what infants do.

Grow up.

INVARiably PATHetic:

Do support the aims of the Montana Militia in their endeavors? If so, why?

Like most people, I have a few irrational fears: heights, not having enough money, certain reptiles... What I do NOT fear are pasty-faced, overweight, balding little racists that live in gun-filled mobile homes.

Please enlighten us to your need to threaten those who disagree with you. Is it as a result of: (please pick at least one)

A.) Your low self esteem;

B.) Sexual inferiority complex;

C.) Your trench coat collection; or,

D.) Mental illness.

Looking forward to the rationalization of your hate.

-- Y2K Pro (2@641.com), May 06, 1999.

Invar, you could always jack with Y2K Pro (Doc Paulie) at his debunking web site........ fill it up with BS; take up disc space, drives him bananas.

He takes the bait pretty easily.

Since in Y2K resources may be tight, does anyone know if liberals are better for fertilizer or fuel?

-- killthecommies (killthecommies@here.now), May 06, 1999.

...why is that so many right wing fascists believe that killing people is an answer?

-- Y2K Pro (2@641.com), May 06, 1999.

Snip from Norm's article:

" The Montana Human Rights Network"

Norm, could you give us a LITTLE detail on this WELL KNOWN organization??

Your Pal, Ray

-- Ray (ray@totacc.com), May 06, 1999.

Y2K pro: thanks. All makes sense now.

You need to support that claim, that right-wing fascists want everybody dead. And contrast that with the PROTECTIVE attitude towards the fellow man which is the primary thrust of forum participants.

You just fell apart. Plink!

Y2K Amateur commented:

Y2K Amateur, now you've gone and made me dig up my 25 Rules of Disinformation. I have to see what applies to this IRRATIONAL post.

For my Pal Ray:

I quote

"Since in Y2K resources may be tight, does anyone know if liberals are better for fertilizer or fuel? -- killthecommies (killthecommies@here.now), May 06, 1999. "

Precisely WHAT is irrational about my response to this?

Y2K Amateur commented:

"so many right wing fascists"

Y2K Amateur, don't know where you got the quote from but your comment paints a rather WIDE brush stroke which I am SURE many participants here RESENT

Y2K Pro(phylactic)-

>>>Do support the aims of the Montana Militia in their endeavors? If so, why?<<<

You don't even know what the aim of the Montana Militia is you silly infant, or you wouldn't have even asked the question. But to answer your query, YES, I support them. They have a Constitutional obligation to exist.

>>>....What I do NOT fear are pasty-faced, overweight, balding little racists that live in gun-filled mobile homes. <<<

Then please little infant, do us all a favor, go to one of these mobile homes you hate and tell them that to their face. I dare ya.

Ah, but you're smooth like a Ken doll in the groin, and you have no guts...coward.

>>>Please enlighten us to your need to threaten those who disagree with you. <<

There are no "those"...just you.

Because you are such a little cowardly shit who namecalls and irritates. And Pro...it's not a threat when I say I will scrape you from my shoe with extreme prejudice....it's an invitation. >>>> Looking forward to the rationalization of your hate.

Remember the little weasel in High school that had the huge mouth and instigative taunts because he felt better about himself by bullying with empty words and threats? This is Y2K Pro, who has no idea whatsoever of the person he is taunting....and for his sake of breath better hope he doesn't ever run into Ol' INVAR.

"Cause I 'aint so old...or bald....or fat.

But very lean, and very deadly.

Don't fuck with what you don't know boy.

-- INVAR (gundark@sw.net), May 06, 1999.

Let's face it Ray, there are many right wing fascists on this forum. Did I say all GIs were fascists? Hardly. People who say things such as:

Since in Y2K resources may be tight, does anyone know if liberals are better for fertilizer or fuel? -- killthecommies (killthecommies@here.now), May 06, 1999.

...are fascists, plain and simple. How you can defend people like that is beyond me - I guess you work on the principle that "my enemies enemy is my friend". A slippery slope indeed...

Let's just see who ol' INVARiably MORONic is lending his whole-hearted support to:

article from Montana Human Rights Network News, November 1997

Militia of Montana Comes Out of the Closet as Racists After years of denying their ties to racists, the Militia of Montana (MOM) has apparently decided it's too much trouble to carry on the double life. On his new American Patriot Internet Classified (A.P.I.C.) Service, Randy Trochmann, co-founder of MOM provides easy access to Ku Klux Klan membership and memorabilia, Aryan Nations events, and information on the racist, anti-Semitic, and anti-Christian Church of the Creator. Since the founding of MOM in 1994, the Trochmanns have denied claims by the Human Rights Network and other critics that they have close ties to white supremacists. The Network published a joint report with the Coalition for Human Dignity, Racist to the Roots, in 1995 outlining the Trochmanns' ties to racists. The denial seemed to be over with the onset of the new A.P.I.C. Service. "They could not have been any clearer about their racists ties; They laid it out there for the world to see," said Christine Kaufmann, research director for the Network. "Support a patriot-- buy from a patriot" urges Randy Trochmann on the pages of A.P.I.C. "Browse through America's most interesting classifieds," reads the heading above a series of selections that used to include the Ku Klux Klan. When you clicked on the Klan button, you received instructions on how to join the KKK, how to purchase Klan robes and "collectibles," and how to subscribe to their hate-filled monthly tabloid, The Kourier. The Church of the Creator declared on its page that "what is good for the White Race is the highest virtue, and what is bad for the White Race is the ultimate sin." Soon after the Spokane Spokesman Review reported on the classified service on October 12th, the KKK and the Church of the Creator links were removed. Hitler mugs are still available under a miscellaneous category. "This will probably be the same old denial story," said Kaufmann. "In a few months they'll say they don't know how the KKK got on their service, or they'll claim it never happened at all." Another selection on the web page provides access to the Patriot calendar of events, a state-by-state listing of upcoming meetings and seminars presumably of interest to so-called patriots. In October, Trochmann advertised an Identity meeting held at the Aryan Nations compound at Hayden Lake, ID. For more information, you are advised to call Richard Butler at the Church of Jesus Christ Christian, Aryan Nations. Identity is warped Christian theology declaring that white northern Europeans are God's chosen people-- the true Israelites, that Jews are the seed of Satan, and that people of color are sub-human "mud-people." The guest speaker for the October meeting was James Wickstrom, a leader in the violent, anti-Semitic Posse Comatitus whose best-known member was Gordon Kahl. Kahl murdered two federal marshals in North Dakota before being killed in a shootout with authorities in Arkansas. The gathering was held in memory of Wesley Swift, a former Klan organizer and early Christian Identity leader and William Potter Gale, founder of the Posse Comatitus and Identity minister. Until recently, the only meetings advertized on A.P.I.C in Montana were the monthly gatherings of Matt Brainard's Citizens to Preserve the Second Amendment at the Elks Club in Missoula. Matt Brainard is a Republican Representative from Missoula who founded the group. The A.P.I.C. is found on an internet service known as logoplex. Logoplex is a service of the Liberty Lobby, an influential anti-Semitic propaganda outfit that publishes the Spotlight, a weekly tabloid spouting wild conspiracy theories alongside articles that deny that the holocaust happened. The Institute of First Amendment Studies describes logoplex as an "electronic meeting place of Christian Identity, Aryan Nations, White Supremacists, gun owners, and Christian Patriots." They might have added the religious political extremists to their list. On logoplex, the anti-gay rhetoric of Don Wildmon and the American Family Association has appeared side by side with the text of the old anti-Semetic hoax The Protocals of the Elders of Zion, and the sermons of Identity minister Pete Peters, who advocates death for gay men and lesbians. Randy Trochmann announced the new A.P.I.C Service in the July edition of Taking Aim, MOM's monthly newsletter.

I'm sure you're quite proud of your support for these folks INVAR - will any other GIs (publicly)share your sympathy?

-- Y2K Pro (2@641.com), May 06, 1999.

Militia of Montana is not the same group as the Montana Militia of which I referred, infant.

And as with any organization, you will have members with objectives and agendas different that the organization itself.

I support the Constitutional Duty for a "Well regulated and maintained Militia" --

And fuck-off with your snide remarks child.

Lest I squash thee underfoot.

-- INVAR (gundark@sw.net), May 06, 1999.

INVAR the NAZI LOVEr trys to wiggle out of his support for his fellow racist scumbags with the following "as with any organization, you will have members with objectives and agendas different that the organization itself."

A lame but predictable justification from a cretinous sack of smegma such as yourself.

-- Y2K Pro (2@641.com), May 06, 1999.

Love the Germans.....Hate the NAZI's.

Give me ONE statement I've EVER made on this or any other forum wherein I spouted ANY type of Nazi or White Supremacist racism against anyone!!!!!

Calling me a Nazi you infantile piece-of-shit proves what a parasitic sac of undigested feline entrails you are. Come say that shit to my face you coward.

But as to the question of whether I hate, yes I do.

I hate idiots and imbeciles.

I hate the stupid and ignorant regardless of race, creed, color or sex.

I'm an equal opportunity idiot-basher.

And proud of it.
