I would like to find out some type of industry average on producing 60:00 documentary. Industral projects range from $800-1,500 per finished minute, how does this compare?

It's really difficult to put any "industry standard" price on producing documentaries. Just ask Ken Burns. You could spend $100 or 100k easy. It really just depends on what the subject matter is the length of the project, are you having to purchase moving or stock images, music etc. I think the DV medium is really going to keep prices down.
