Kodak DC265 Light Metering

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

Three tech questions I couldn't find in the book; a)Is the exposure meter a TTL (through-the-lens) system? b)Are the two [ ] designating the single spot focusing function? c)How is the light metering weighted in the range finder?(Assuming it is TTL) Thanks in advance.

Hi Paul, Three "techie" answers: a) No, the exposure meter is mounted on the outside of the case (near the viewfinder), 2) as I have a DC260, I can't say for sure what the two []'s are, however, I would suggest turning the single spot focusing on and off through the menu, and seeing if they disappear, and c) since the light metering is NOT TTL, you get a default of average weighting from the light meter on the camera.
