Do you often get exhausted after a vacation? Do you have any survival tricks to enjoying your weekend away without coming back wishing you could just get away?

I always return from vacation wanting to commit suicide rather than go back to work, so I have no advice on that subject. But I did want to talk about horseback riding. I haven't ridden since I was a kid, but back then I used to ride without a saddle, all day long, sometimes in nothing but a BATHING SUIT. What in the hell was I thinking? The very thought makes me itch.

The only way to enjoy a "get away", is to get away to your own house! Lock the door, shut off all the lights, build a tent out of your sheets and roast marshmellows over a chocolate scented candle.

I must admit, I laughed hysterically at the horse back riding incident. I have been riding since I was eight (I'm now 19) and I can't even describe to you how many poor souls I have seen in the same position as Pamie. I wasn't laughing AT you, Pamie, by the way, just your situation. I can feel your pain. If I haven't been riding in awhile, I still get saddle sore, AND I have been thrown off, bucked off, reared up on (while on the horse and while leading it), bitten, kicked, stepped on (yes, I still love riding and those lovely beasties called horses...) Once I was on a horse in a lesson, waiting in line for a jump I was supposed to take and the horse I was on attempted to MOUNT the one in front of it. Go figure, the horse I was on was a gelding (read: castrated)... Anyway, I don't have any vacation advice, but if any of y'all need to know about horses, feel free to ask!!!

Last year my s.o. and I went to Disney World for a week. It was awesome but I have never in my life been so tired. The thing about such a vacation is that you are constantly in motion. We flew there, rode a shuttle to the hotel, rode a bus to the park, got on the rides, rode a bus back to the hotel...I felt like I had wheels.

I was so exhausted when I got home, I had to take an extra day of vacation time from work to recover.
