I like this shot, but you need to leave more room for cropping/mounting. The animal's left ear will be cut off by the mat if you frame it.

Personally I liked your other owl shot much better becuase it clearly showed the animal in it's environment, and the vertical orientation seemed better suited. Even in that one though, matting would be a touchy proposition because the claws were very close to the edge of the frame.

Very nice shot / colors / sharpness. Especially the left eye. Try another (if you can) with the owl looking into the camera and somewhat more space above the head.
