I would like to find out more about the pope's clothes and jewerly. What the different pope hats mean. What the pope outfits stand for. Does he have his clothes made? Does he buy off the rack? I am not meaning to be disrespectful or funny I am really interested in the history of his hats and rings. I saw him on tv recently and he had this great sword shaped pin on. I would like to know what it means and what it is made out of. Is there a book someone knows of that would have info of this type in it?

A recent book titled "The Church Visible" is exactly what you are looking for. It explains all vestments, ceremonials, and details on things like the election of popes.
