Transformation A Program for the Evolution of Psyche, Spirit, and Society Jay Earley, Ph.D.

At this time in history, we are called on to be planetary elders cultural mid-wives social healers engaged spiritual seekers transformative citizens

Our modern worldview and social structure have served us for centuries, but they no longer work in our current world, and we are transitioning to a new era in social evolution.

Too often potentially valuable organizations and social movements fail because of internal squabbling, unresolved personal issues, burnout, lack of larger vision, inadequate understanding of group and organizational process, or the unconscious recreation of destructive dynamics from modern culture. People who are psychologically evolved and spiritually awake have the best chance to be true agents of social change.

The Transformation program of psychospiritual development is oriented toward fundamental social change, where transformation of consciousness is applied to community and planetary problems and opportunities. This work will include elements of psychotherapy, spiritual work, and social action. Though we will apply this work to all societal problems, Y2K will be a special concern since it is a current, pressing issue that has social transformation potential.

People who will benefit from the Transformation Program ( Social and environmental activists ( Spiritual seekers ( Helping professionals ( Business and civic leaders ( Artists and writers ( Educators ( Religious leaders ( Concerned citizens ( Communications and media professionals

This program will help you ( Understand our society and how it affects your life ( Find an inner grounding for your social activism ( Apply your personal/spiritual growth to creating a healthier society. ( Gain a larger vision of the world situation and the societal transformation that is occurring ( Expand beyond helping individuals to changing the context in which their problems arise ( Integrate your social concerns with your inner work ( Contribute to the creative evolution of our world at this critical juncture in human history ( Create lasting bonds with others who care about the fate of our planet

Practices The Transformation program is oriented toward the development of healthy capacities such as purpose, love, interconnectedness, passion, power, and leadership. We will facilitate this by: ( Evoking each capacity through guided meditation, expressive movement, ritual, and mutual sharing. ( Working through psychological blocks to each capacity ( Exploring our unfolding experience in the present, including body sensations, emotions, and spiritual states. ( Daily practices, where we practice bringing a specific capacity into our lives and actions in the world. ( Working with our own interpersonal and group process in a Transformation group. ( Talks and discussion on psychological and spiritual development, problems with modern society, the shape of the emerging culture, and the social transformation process.

A Collaborative Venture I am looking for potential leaders, collaborators, organizational sponsors, interns, graduate students, writers, PR people, advisors, guest teachers, and others who want to support and participate in the creation of this program.
