Time to Put It Into Practice and So-Long For Now

Well, it's 6 AM down here in Florida and time to pack up the computer, and bid you all a temporary fare-thee-well. I head to cooler climes and start my retirement with no electric, no water, no septic,no propane, sort of like a third world country. Everything has been held up with bad weather and bureaucratic permits. Not exactly the way I planned on starting my retirement but if I can get thru the next 2 months, I figure y2k oughta be a breeze.

Just wanted to say that I've enjoyed all the things I've learned on this forum and the list is too long to enumerate. I've also enjoyed the politics and religion , the interplay between opinions whether I agree with them or not, they were almost all worthwhile and widened my perspective. Feel like I've gotten to know many of you and I wish you all well and hope you keep on becoming more self reliant whichever way it goes.

My personal opinion is that we will know better just how it's going to go by August (warwise and y2k wise) but that could mean it would also be harder to prepare. Maybe if they have a survival show in Indiana I'll get to meet some of you Hoosiers there.

God Bless and hope to see you in the fall.

With your stoic attitude and sense of humor, you don't need my good wishes, but I'm passing them on anyway! Keep in touch, okay?

The difficulty is that, like all projects, this one (building a houde is a BIG project) is clearly running a tad bit behind......
