I never saw a vulcano live ... well, except at live news on TV ... just a joke ... well, I really think Chris lost a good chance to get a good photo4cause he forgot same photo rules ... first, the gold rule ... I would positioned the camera to have the horizon line in the botton thirth of the photo and valorizating the smoke against the sky ... and second, I would use a polarizer filter to get a bluer sky and water ... I know it4s easy to remember this after print the photo but all we have to learn with our mistakes ... just to complet, here we have a digitalizing problem too ... the colors is strange ... but nice try, good eye for good photos, just need pratice ... like all we.

An interesting subject.

A ND-grad filter positioned at an angle might have brought out some detail in the foreground rocks. I'm not suggesting anything drastic- I know the rocks are a deep black. As it is, though, I find the large black area with white spots on it to be distracting.

(Unless it is my monitor, in which case disregard this message)
