FPL staffer? Reporter wants off-the-record interview

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Electric Utilities and Y2K : One Thread

I'm a reporter on assignment with New Times, South Florida's leading weekly, and I'm interested in interviewing -- off-the-record if you want -- FPL staffers familiar with the progress the utility company is making. The official position is that they're 90% complete towards compliance, including testing, and will be finished by the end of June on all "mission critical" and "important" systems. Does that square with your experience? If so, I'd like to know. If not, I'd like to know that, too. Please contact me by e-mail at ArtL7@aol.com. Thanks, Art Levine.

Art, Sorry I can't help you, but I do want to thank you for actually trying to do some journalism work on this issue. Most journalists are serving as highly experienced editors for corporate PR guys.
