I would like to contract for an "A" grade.

I will complete all of the "C" requirements plus the following:

Criteria for a "B": I plan to attend the 1999 International Society for Self-Directed Learning Symposium in Phoenix, AZ in February. I will read additional texts on self-directed learning and document my participation in the conference. I will share resources from this conference with colleagues in Minnesota and the North Central Region.

Criteria for an "A": I plan to present a session at the 1999 International Society for Self-Directed Learning Symposium in Phoenix, AZ. The presentation will be done with a colleague and will include my work as a practitioner. A case study of a self-directed leadership development program for Extension support staff will be discussed. (I was on the design team for the program.) The Symposium provides a forum for the discussion of important developments in the study and application of self-directed learning. I have also been asked to convene a group discussion at another session on leadership development.

In addition to presenting at the conference, I plan to co-present a session on self-directed learning at an upcoming ITV session with Todd Mehrkens.
