hi everyone, my name is rose and i am writing this from Dublin, Ireland. I have been showing standard and miniature poodles for the last 12 years. I have been living in Dublin for 5 years, before that I lived in Suffern N.Y. My first standard poodle was from Ireland,he was the first Irish bred SP to become an American Ch. The late Mark Shanoff was my handler. Sadly Jonah died from bloat at the age of 4yrs. His show name was Ch Dunollie Jonah of Kissena. He was in the Poodle Review stud issue 1987. At the moment I have 3 standards, a male Spenser who is a retired ch, Storm an 18 month old bitch, white, who has just been dx with liver problems, poss liver shunt, so she is now cut down and waiting more tests, a black 10 month old bitch Delta from the Kertellas kennels in England, who I have just started showing. I also have a brown min bitch, Saffy, whose daughter Lisa is just starting her show career in the UK with the Kertellas kennels. I would love to hear from psg members. I am also the secretary of the Poodle Club of Ireland, which is a very small club as numbers have declined, but I am hoping to revive the interest of people about poodles and would love any suggestions from any psg supporters. At the moment in the show ring at one time we have only about 7 SP both sexes, 10-14 miniatures, and 2-3 toys, terrible isnt it. It is very hard to get a good toy over here, even as a pet. My 3 sps came from the UK, anyway if anyone would like to ask any questions, about poodles in Ireland I would love it, bye for now rose mccabe
