In short, Phil is experimenting with some new technology. BEFORE you get bent out of shape, you should remember that this is primarily being done as a research project at MIT by Phil. Ed happens to be the beneficiary of his good graces.

Here's da link for you

See this thread <:)=

Phil wants to advertise and show off his talents here too...maybe he wants to make some of the money out there or increase his fame .... who knows? I already bought his extremely insightful and well-written book "Database Backed Web Sites" over a year ago...

Even though I wondered about the greenspun in the URL I had no idea this site was designed and built by Phil....

Actually, it looks more like a forum for liberal propoganda.

All this talk about the 'crap at the bottom of the page' and no one has mentioned whether they have read them.

I have, [and not mentioned it till now] and some are really funny! The way he has set it to select based on the link [or last post, I'm not sure] has created several punny additions to the threads.

I like 'em. Keep it up Phil!

And like Phil said, if you don't like it, go away.

Hey Phil, are ya reading this? Thanks for all the work you do for us, whatever your politics may or may not be. Give Alex an ear-scratch for me, okay?

Hey Phil -- you could have posted those hot pix of Eve to get us all distracted from y2k -- thanks for leaving us middleaged guys with our family responsibilities safely front and center on this forum....

"crap at the bottom of the page"...aptly put. Off topic, off thread, and as welcome as any other "well dressed" troll. In other words, NOT. And I resent the extra time it takes to load such crap.

Hi Ann. Did you bother to read the other thread noted above? Mr. greenspun pointed out several options. <:)=

Don't look a gift horse in the mouth. (I.e., take it or leave it). This forum is a freebie for us. It's Phil's, he can do what he wants with it. Thank you Phil.
