Yet another Yugo Post

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

A guy driving a Yugo pulls up at a stoplight next to a Rolls-Royce. The driver of the Yugo rolls down his window and shouts to the driver of the Rolls, "Hey, buddy, that's a nice car. You got a phone in your Rolls? I've got one in my Yugo!"

The driver of Rolls looks over and says simply, "Yes I have a phone."

The driver of the Yugo says, "Cool! Hey, you got a fridge in there too? I've got a fridge in the back seat of my Yugo!"

The driver of the Rolls, looking annoyed, says, "Yes, I have a refrigerator."

The driver of the Yugo says, "That's great, man! Hey, you got a TV in there, too? You know, I got a TV in the back seat of my Yugo!"

The driver of the Rolls, looking very annoyed by now, says, "Of course I have a television. A Rolls-Royce is the finest luxury car in the world!"

The driver of the Yugo says, "Very cool car! Hey, you got a bed in there, too? I got a bed in the back of my Yugo!"

Upset that he did not have a bed, the driver of the Rolls-Royce sped away, and went straight to the dealer, where he promptly ordered that a bed be installed in the back of the Rolls. The next morning, the driver of the Rolls picked up the car, and the bed looked superb, complete with silk sheets and brass trim. It was clearly a bed fit for a Rolls Royce.

So the driver of the Rolls begins searching for the Yugo, and he drove all day. Finally, late at night, he finds the Yugo parked, with all the windows fogged up from the inside. The driver of the Rolls got out and knocked on the Yugo. When there wasn't any answer, he knocked and knocked, and eventually the owner stuck his head out, soaking wet.

"I now have a bed in the back of my Rolls-Royce," the driver of the Rolls stated arrogantly.

The driver of the Yugo looked at him and said, "You got me out of the shower for that??"

Andy,

If you happen to come back to this thread, I would be interested in your opinion of the Art Bell situation. I suspect that you are a fan, as am I, and since many others seem to consider Art a wacko, I didn't think it worth starting a new thread to listen to the comments from the peanut gallery.

I sort of half-jokingly suggested that he had been captured by Delta Forces, but I suspect this may not be all that far from the truth. I believe that he has been temporarily suspended by the owners of the radio station for being a bit too opinionated about the Kosovo situation. You heard him last Tuesday, and probably many times before that, saying that he thought that the actions of NATO are what caused many of the refugees to be killed. We know how the Illuminati can have control of the media, when it comes to issues which are crucial to NWO objectives. It seems to me that they would let Art sputter on and on until he is blue in the face about UFO conspiracies and even Gulf War syndrome. But he started getting very seriously political last week, and pointing hsi finger of blame in the wrong direction. I suspect he was yanked from the air by someone in very high places who pulls the strings of the radio station ownership. Have you noticed how Hilly Rose starts right in withy his guests, without, as Art would say "nary a word" about Art's leave of absence, other than it is "vacation", which oddly he had just returned from only several days earlier? I don't think it is like Art to leave the air without any advance warning to his listeners. Incidentally, have you heard anything about his "emergency" departure a few months ago? I suspect that that also may have been a dispute with upper management about the content of some of his shows. He said that it was "life-threatening" to his family, which could be implying loss of financial security if he were to lose his job because he were not allowed to control the material of the shows.

What do you think about all this? It seems questionable whether Art, as stubborn as he is sometimes, will be able to compromise his values in order to return to the air. I believe the people in high places considered his discussions about the purpose of these actions in Kosovo by NATO to be a little too close to the truth, and a threat to their power.

If Art does return, I suspect he will have to be a lot more careful about political and military discussion, and focus primarily on the "paranormal type" subjects.

Hi @,

I hear what you are saying and I am a little suspicious - Art was extremely vocal against our actions in Kosovo, I have a few commnts which I will reserve judgement on for the moment - let's see what happens here...

regards,

@,

I think you're a little off base on this one. I usually have the talk station on the radio while I'm on the 'puter, at least at home. Many hosts are giving a big thumbs down on this "action". I agree with Andy, if Art doesn't show up in another week, then maybe something is up. I'll bet that as soon as he does get back, he'll jump right on the war again. <:)=
