A community meeting to discuss Y2K compliance efforts in Cotati will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 21, at Thomas Page School, 1075 Madrone Ave., Cotati.

Citizen concerns and questions will be addressed by representatives from Pacific Bell, PG&E, Sonoma County Office of Emergency Services, Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, Rancho Adobe Fire Protection District, Sonoma County Water Agency, Exchange Bank, Cotati-Rohnert Park Unified School District, Oliver's Market and the City of Cotati.

While the City feels confident that it will be Y2K ready, says Mayor Harold Berkemeier, Cotati residents will be reminded to have a personal preparedness program in their homes, just as in the case of natural disasters like storms, floods and earthquakes."

Berkemeier says the city "is in the midst of testing and remediating our critical systems, including water and sewer systems, traffic signals, police communications, and emergency operations."

For information contact Jim McAdler, Finance Director, City of Cotati, 665-3629.
