Troop movements on I-5

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

I have just returned from a trip to LA from San Jose. I traveled I-5 most of the way, I observed 4 military convoys traveling south on Thursday. Mostly HumVs and Troop carriers. In LA I observed several troop carriers with young men in civilian clothing on the 710. On the home run I saw 3 convoys with tank trucks, troop carriers and HumVs.

I travel this route several times a year, this is the first time I have observed this type of movement. I am an observer and would have noted this if it was normal base movement stuff..... It appears that the call up is well underway......

Other reports of movements...

Answers

sounds like either the guard or reservists on a drill weekend.

No! A good friend of mine also ran into this convoy. He told me the truth!

This is NWO. I saw the convoys and we stopped next to one. NONE OF THEM WERE WHITE. AND they werent speaking English! And they had funny insingias on their uniforms with the phrase "NEW WORLD ORDER" therein!

These are nigger NWO troops from Africa, sent in by Klinton as part of the NWO Y2K conspiracy! Of course, since Klinton has started this war with Albania we aint suppose to notice what he is trying to pull! But patriotic Americans do!

Christians! Get your guns now! Show no mercy to those who oppose God!

Please acquire a life. I CAN'T believe that Phil Greenspun's soi dissant internet search function for banner development came up with this one for this thread:

"No one can write decently who is distrustful of the reader's intelligence, or whose attitude is patronizing. ... It is now necessary to warn the writer that his concern for the reader must be pure: he must sympathize with the reader's plight (most readers are in trouble about half the time) but never seek to know his wants. The whole duty of a writer is to please and satisfy himself, and the true writer always plays to an audience of one. Let him start sniffing the air, or glancing at the Trend Machine, and he is as good as dead, although he may make a nice living." -- last chapter of The Elements of Style, Strunk and White "Everyone needs an editor." -- Tim Foote, commenting

We were on our way home from L.A. Stopped for dinner and ran into husbands old unit.

There National Guard units on there annual two week training. Nothing new here folks. Been going on for years. You know - one weekend a month and two weeks a year.

I've driven 101 between Northern and Southern California, for years, sometimes once a month, and have seen military convoys MANY, many times.

Sorry, but I doubt this is unusual behavior.
