Supreme Court rules us unfit to govern----this is scary!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

I just read a news clip on newsmanx.com that the Supreme Court ruled in a decision of 8-1 that the American people are unfit to govern! As a result, we no longer retain the power to choose our own federal, state and local officials, or vote on matters of concern to the public.

Has anyone seen anything about this, in the news? Supposedly, it was on C-Span, which isn't viewed by a majority of Americans.

How can they take this right away from us...I thought our government is supposed to have checks and balances!!!!!! Is this part of the New World Order?

I would copy and psate the article, if I knew how, but you can find it on newsmax.com-----one of my favorite news sites.

We just can't sit back and let them take our rights away from us! What can we do, besides complaining our Congressmen?

What a great site this is for the credulous, the gullible, the fearful, the NWO gang, the religious right, the conspiracy crowd and a few just plain folks.

What happened? I go away for a few weeks and come back to find the supply of reality pills here has totally run out! Will someone please put in a call to Bayer or whomever for a refill on the prescription?

Jo Anne,

This was covered a week or so ago, but it seems like the writers of the original article have struck a nerve.

Go to the following web site:

http://www.theonion.com

You will see the original article there on the opening page. Scroll down the page, and look at some of the other "headlines." Then, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and click on the link that says, "masthead." That will take you to the page that explains what the web site provides.

After that, enjoy it. Some of the back "issues" are worth the time to read...assuming your sense of humor includes satire.
