Need how best to set up Acrobat on Win98... : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Can somebody point the way to a successful installation of Acrobat Reader on Windows 98?

Also, any way to convert pdf to html?

From ROM -- install as you would any other application.

From Download -- select an application file, and install it to that folder, such as "C:\ACROBAT3. Usually you'll download a zipped version or an executable version that has to be expanded into the desired file.

No easy conversion. You could print out the Adobe stuff, then scan it to a text file. Or, you can just copy and paste, a little bit at a time.

Critt: - PDF Conversion by Email

Converts PDF to either text or html format. You submit a URL and your e-mail address .. it returns a converted file to you shortly thereafter....

Hope this is what you needed.

Small comment. I just spent two days making programs and interfaces work on W98. Not being particularly religous, I thank God that our important data is only handled on Mac or Unix. We transfer PDF files to one of these for printing. Man, I don't know about you, but I had to try three different sources for a printer driver to get W98 compatibility. The one from MS was not good.
