If you think the Government will solve Y2K and "Help" the people, ASK the AMERICAN INDIANS (Native Americans) who have been ripped off for many years by the BUREAU OF INDIAN AFFAIRS (Department of Interior) on things such as oil well revenues. This was discussed in depth on

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

National Public Radio tonight. The program described one family with 7 oil wells administered by the "government". The income they received from the 7 wells was so miniscule that they did not have the money to fix the broken windows on their home. The records are "lost" and the government does not know how much is owed (stolen). The amount was estimated to be in excess of $10 billion. This is despicable. The Government forces the Indians to relocate to worthless land and then when the oil is discovered, they cheat the Indians out of the income from the oil. After all of these years, the Indians have managed to employ a major accounting firm (Price Waterhouse) to try to establish the amout due to the Indians. With the theft, incompetence, lost records it will be difficult to determine how much has been lost. Lets see now we have the IRS, the BIA, Congress, the President and all of these other government officials to protect us. Some of them even make preposterous claims such as ALGORE who claimed that he invented the Internet, yet he did not see the Y2K problem coming? Give me a break. This guy wants to be president and the people are dumb enough to elect him? I don't think so. Then we have Kosovo and the current crisis. You do not need the latest technology airplanes to bomb the innocent civilians trying to escape down the road from other bombs that are falling as a result of the crisis. Does anyone in the administration know what they are doing. What really scare me is the lack of agreement at this late date on some of the technical issues such as the potential problems with the secondary clock problem as discussed by Mr. Beach and the proper methods to test the embedded chips, (disconnect them and test or try to test in place). If he is right, and this problem was not recognized until now, there will be major problems in 8 months. I do not know who is right, but it is scary to have these issues unresolved at this late date. I get the impression that the government is lying in an attempt to prevent a panic. This will make the panic worse when the people finally get scared. How many remediated and "compliant" systems that were "fixed" ignored the embedded systems issues? If Mr. Beach is correct, will any cars be manufactured next year, will there be electricity, will money transfers work etc. etc.? With all of this, the stock market is at an all time high. If it was irrational exerburance at 6500, what is it at 10,500? Mania, insanity, fools rush in, buy on the dips etc or the elite selling to the idiots. The euphoria can not last. The higher it goes, the further it can fall. Snooze Snooze while Rome (US) burns.

Our government has a hidden agenda that they have been pushing for years and Americans have no clue! The word is de-population!

This is why we have legal abortion. This is why cancer cures, aids cures etc. etc. all get denounced as quackery by the FDA. This is why the scientist, Royal Rife, who discovered a cancer cure in the 1930's, got his laboratory torched and his discovery's destroyed. He died in poverty.

Enter his name in a search and learn that all your relatives who died from cancer, did not have to die, if the government had not destroyed his discoveries. However as you do your search, The Royal Rife cancer discovery of blood electrification is being re-discovered and this time the government will NOT succeed!

$10 billion is a start.

Tom, I heard the story and gave a victory shout -- YI-YI-YI-YI-YI

Can you imagine how much land and stolen wealth White America would have to give back if the 450+ broken treaties were enforced?

BTW, under the U.S. Constitution, treaties are the highest law of the land, superseding Congressional legislation, etc. As far as I'm concerned, the Constitution was pretty well self-shredded by White America before this century began. What legal document are we living under then -- none?

Are we just waiting for the first generation of Native American Constitutional lawyers to graduate from law school? Probably not, eh? You know what the real game is.

Guns and blood. Same as Wounded Knee, Sand Creek, etc etc

That's why I just love hearing all you White Libertarian Conservative Christian or whatever NRA gunloving types talk about your gov selling out to U.N., black helicopters, etc. FEELING A LITTLE GUILTY ABOUT SOMETHING YOU CAN'T QUITE PUT YOUR FINGER ON?

Living on stolen land with the dead not quite buried well enough would make me uncomfortable.

y2k is a small payback for White greed. Chief Seattle was quoted as saying the spirits of his people loved this land and would walk it long after our cities had crumbled.

Actually, having vented, I know I want to say that I hear a lot of the Indian spirit in you "White Libertarian Conservative Christian or whatever NRA gunloving types" -- you are looking for a natural balance in a world gone crazy. I just think you strike out in the wrong directions most of the time.

A bit of Indian heart in a White body. Crying at 4 AM. Why does it grab me so? (Because we'll never be at HOME here in America until we get right with them?)

It's never too late to start walking in balance.

smitty, in addition to blood electrification, you may want to check out ultraviolet blood irradiation (UBI), EDTA chelation, and hydrogen peroxide. all are marvelous and cheap, but of course unpatentable, so they won't be recommended to you by your average doctor or pharmacist.

One little teensy weensy bit of good news for the long suffering American Indians living on reservations is when it comes to martial law, they will be excluded from it. They live in 'sovereign nations' on those reservations. The U.S. government cannot, by law, touch them.

One small verification of this is when you survey the MAB (man and biosphere) biodiversity maps for the U.S., the reservations are left intact. If you understand what this program is all about, this is significant.

Tom I agree with you completely. My mother had me read the book "Century of Dishonor," by Helen H. Jackson when I was just a young girl. I never forgot it, and I was appalled at what we had done to the Indians, with the consent and encouragement of the government. After Hunt's book was published, concerning how shabby the government had treated the Indians, she sent a copy to every member of congress. This book led me to a lifelong interest in the true story of the treatment of the Indians that we had murdered and robbed.

I'm in the process of reading "The Last Days of the Sioux Nation" by Robert M. Utley and "Missionary Conquest: The Gospel and Native American Cultural Genocide," by George E. Tinker. I've often wondered if the land I'm living on was once occupied by an Osage Indian tribe. I know we used to often find arrowheads on my grandfather's farm after he plowed.

Yes we should be very ashamed.

Yes we are very enraged by the genocide committed by the Serbs, so enraged that we bomb their country. But we not only destroyed the Indians food supply, and drove them off their land, we destroyed their culture and their religion as well.
