Now we're a MOVEMENT??

I won't waste time answering your poll - it will just serve as another pseudo-barometer of the so-called "Right-Wing Conspiracy" against the king.

-- INVAR (gundark@sw.net), April 14, 1999.

1. Yes

2. No.

3. Music only

4. I'm clueless to the purpose and representation of the United Nations.

5. There is no, will never be, a single voice. Whoever I am listening to at any moment of awareness has the greatest potential for influence.

6. Same as I do now. Though it may be embedded, processed, or filtered differently, we drink the sun from the same source.

7. Same as I do now. Though it may be embedded, processed, or filtered differently, we drink the sun from the same source.

8. The list is moderately long. And to leave someone out, who has influenced me in ways I don't yet understand, risks unintentionally discounting their impact. I choose to ignore this question.

Hope you don't mind a non-American responding:

1.)Did you vote for Bill Clinton in the last election? - Would've, if I could've

2.)Do you own a handgun? No - but I swing a pretty mean hockey stick

3.)Who is your favorite talk radio host? Dr Laura - such a wonderful combination of loopy/earnest/wacko

4.)Should the U.S. be part of the U.N.? Yes, and you should pay your bloody membership dues as well!

5.)Who is the most influential figure in the Y2K GI movement? Yardeni, 'coz in the good ole US of A money (Wall St) talks

6.)How will you feel towards the Pollys if Y2K turns out like you expect? I'm a polly (at least by the definition embraced the majority who post here) so my answer to your question has to be FINE.

7.)How will you feel towards the Pollys if Y2K turns out to be a bump in the road? (Question to potentially start a new thread: define "bump in the road")

8.)Who are the most despised and respected persons on this forum?

Despised - too strong a word. I dislike the dyspetic misanthropic rantings of Ray, Andy and INVAR. Produce more heat than light. But they are entitled to their opinions.

Respected - always enjoy Flint's posts - in this place he seems like the soul of moderation (a thing close to the heart of Canadians). [As an aside: Flint - if reports that you are planning to take all your $ out of the bank pre-2000 are true, I would beg you to reconsider. I'm positive that your opinions are held in high esteem by the large number of polly-ish lurkers here (I was one until this post) and this opinion could influence people to do the wrong thing.]

5)Probably Mr. Yardeni

6)The same as I feel about them now. I understand this is too much for some people.

7)I will party like you have never seen partying before.

8) Respected: Robert E. Cook; Gayla; Leska; Uncle Deedah; Sysman; psshannon; arlin; chuck the night driver; art welling (great disconnect essay...!); Roger Altman; and so many others I can't name them all...sheesh

"In trying to understand the psychology of the GI movement, I wonder if some of you could answer a few questions?"

I assume GI=gastro intestinal? The psychology must be along the lines of, "Oh, now I feel better!"

"1.)Did you vote for Bill Clinton in the last election?" Not just no- HELL NO!

"2.)Do you own a handgun?" Of course.

"3.)Who is your favorite talk radio host?" Jim Eason

"4.)Should the U.S. be part of the U.N.?" No.

"5.)Who is the most influential figure in the Y2K GI movement?" Oh, THAT GI movement. Cory Hamasaki.

"6.)How will you feel towards the Pollys if Y2K turns out like you expect?" I expect Y2k to be a series of minor but aggravating difficulties. Isn't that the Polly view? The truly "DGI" folks (a.k.a. "meme-heads") don't expect any noticable problems at all.

"7.)How will you feel towards the Pollys if Y2K turns out to be a bump in the road?" See above.

"8.)Who are the most despised and respected persons on this forum?" I don't know.

"Thank You!" You're welcome!

-- Robert Sturgeon (rsturgeon@calwest.net), April 14, 1999.

2.)Do you own a handgun? I own a number of firearms, rifles, pistols, only one shotgun though - never was all that good with a shotgun.

3.)Who is your favorite talk radio host? Janet Parshall

4.)Should the U.S. be part of the U.N.? no.

5.)Who is the most influential figure in the Y2K GI movement? There really isn't *one* - Yourdon, Yardeni, North, Hamasaki...and then there's the crew around here...nope, can't say there's just one.

6.)How will you feel towards the Pollys if Y2K turns out like you expect? sad - so many of them will die due to their own shortsightedness.

7.)How will you feel towards the Pollys if Y2K turns out to be a bump in the road? Oh well, they guessed right and I guessed wrong...I'll still have a better and more independent life than they have.

8.)Who are the most despised and respected persons on this forum? despised is too strong a word - I despise rapists in high political office, the trolls on this forum I merely find annoying. There are a great many folks I respect here...

-- Arlin H. Adams (ahadams@ix.netcom.com), April 14, 1999.

1.)Did you vote for Bill Clinton in the last election? No, Bob Dole!

8.)Who are the most despised and respected persons on this forum? Despised, Y2K Pro. Respected, Uncle Deedah, Night Driver and Arlin Adams.

-- Bobbi (bobbia@slic.com), April 14, 1999.

1.)Did you vote for Bill Clinton in the last election? No, he reminded me of a used car salesman. I could see right through him.

2.)Do you own a handgun?I hate guns of any type.My husband is trying to get me to buy one to "protect the children"

3.)Who is your favorite talk radio host? never listen to talk radio. Listened to Art Bell once and thought "this guy is really out there" so it was for entertainment only.

4.)Should the U.S. be part of the U.N.? still debating this one.

5.)Who is the most influential figure in the Y2K GI movement? Well...I don't know. I have never read anything Ed Yourdon wrote, although, I heard him speak on the radio once. Gary North kinda scares me and everyone else is trying to sell me something. So I guess I don't have one.

6.)How will you feel towards the Pollys if Y2K turns out like you expect? Very very sorry, wishing they could have taken the time to find out more.

7.)How will you feel towards the Pollys if Y2K turns out to be a bump in the road? Grateful that they were correct in their guess, because that is really all it is is a guess. No one knows what will happen. I just choose not take that gamble.

8.)Who are the most despised and respected persons on this forum? I respect many...I think maybe Old Git is one of my favorites. I don't despise anyone. I think people like Y2Kpro and Norm give the forum balance and make it more interesting as long as the articles are real and not posted 50 times.

-- shellie (shellie01@hotmai.com), April 14, 1999.

1.)Did you vote for Bill Clinton in the last election?

Thank you, no.

2.)Do you own a handgun?

3.)Who is your favorite talk radio host?

Art Bell, by a mile/kilometer+.

4.)Should the U.S. be part of the U.N.?

Yes. There would be no U.N. without the U.S. It is a sorry institution in its present form.

5.)Who is the most influential figure in the Y2K GI movement?

I think Gary North has influenced more folks than anyone else. He has been on Art Bell's Coast-To-Coast radio show three times. Art's audience numbers approach the ten million mark, maybe more. Honorable mention goes to Mr. Yourdon. Senator Bennett has done yeoman's work, forced schizophrenia aside.

6.)How will you feel towards the Pollys if Y2K turns out like you expect?

I am rarely surprised at the inability of the VAST majority of human beings to see/feel/intuit the 'Big Picture', with all its potentialities. I'll know the pollys never had a chance. I just hope they don't suffer too much. 7.)How will you feel towards the Pollys if Y2K turns out to be a bump in the road?

They are rolling the dice, whether they know it or not. If they win this one, so to speak, good for everyone. I will not gamble on Y2K being a bump.

8.)Who are the most despised and respected persons on this forum?

Where's Runway Cat?

Peace to All.

4.)Should the U.S. be part of the U.N.? Well, probably not, but I'm not well-versed in the arguments pro & con.

5.)Who is the most influential figure in the Y2K GI movement? Drew Parkhill.

6.)How will you feel towards the Pollys if Y2K turns out like you expect? They are guilty of influencing others to not prepare and they'll both suffer.

7.)How will you feel towards the Pollys if Y2K turns out to be a bump in the road? They lucked out.

8.)Who are the most a. despised and b. respected persons on this forum? a. DiETer, sort of, despised, but hey, he IS funny! b. Big Dog and MDM.

3.)Who is your favorite talk radio host?Local guy...Frank Sontag, FM 95.5, The Impact Program, Los Angeles

4.)Should the U.S. be part of the U.N.? The UN is a granfalloon as is the US,...in the 'Let's Pretend Game' should one fiction be joined to another? Only if "they" want to.

5.)Who is the most influential figure in the Y2K GI movement? Why is this important? There is no one outstanding influencing me.

6.)How will you feel towards the Pollys if Y2K turns out like you expect? First of all 'Pollys' is an gross-generalization....Second, I suppose I will feel sadness about those that did not prepare.

7.)How will you feel towards the Pollys if Y2K turns out to be a bump in the road?No feelings, and same as the above.

8.)Who are the most despised and respected persons on this forum?I personally don't care who likes and despises anyone. I have a great deal of respect for people who use critical thinking, and know there are others who post here who don't.

Your survey questions could use a bit of sprucing up. They demonstrate bias (or at very least, immaturity) with choice of words in your questions. I only mention this because I've done some scholarly research that included questionaires. Designing questionaires is a skill that can be learned...you might want to investigate further. There are college classes that are dynamite for teaching this how-to.

-- christa (christamike@hotmail.com), April 14, 1999.

Christa, If you want to do bold text, ...it's simple...

xxxxxxxxxxxx - the desired text for bolding...on either side place a set of arrows...<> <> inside them, put a "b" without the quotes to turn the BOLD on...and "/b" without quotes for bold off. Same thing for italics... for italics use the letter "i" instead of "b",...and a bunch of other really fun, usable tags.

Your post with bold text might look like this: left arrow, letter b, right arrow, TEXT, left arrow, /b, right arrow..

1. Didn't vote. 2. Yep, just bought my first. And an 18" shotgun. And lots of ammo. (I'm female, by the way.) 3. Don't have one, I have better things to do than to listen to talk radio. 4. Don't know, don't care, it's all a bunch of bullshit anyway. 5. I have no "most" influential person to name. For myself only, it is me. 6. Very very very sorry for them. Most of my family and almost all of my friends are pollys. I will be terribly sad. 7. If it turns out to be a bump in the road, what does it matter how I feel about THEM? For my family and friends I will be relieved. I think the pollys on this forum are making this an us vs. them thing. I'm not AGAINST pollys. I'm FOR preparation. 8. This is the most INANE question. No one despised, no one respected. I simply READ READ and READ some more.

1.)Did you vote for Bill Clinton in the last election?

No way.

2.)Do you own a handgun?

It depends on what your definition of "own" is. :)

3.)Who is your favorite talk radio host?

Neal Boortz

4.)Should the U.S. be part of the U.N.?

No.

5.)Who is the most influential figure in the Y2K GI movement?

Cory Hamasaki, Paul Milne, Gary North, Ed Yourdon (pick one).

6.)How will you feel towards the Pollys if Y2K turns out like you expect?

They get what they deserve. Take that comment as you will.

7.)How will you feel towards the Pollys if Y2K turns out to be a bump in the road?

I'll laugh with them and be thankful.

-- Tim (noway@dude.com), April 15, 1999.

1.)Did you vote for Bill Clinton in the last election? No.

2.)Do you own a handgun? Not yet, but I have supported gun owners rights my entire adult life.

3.)Who is your favorite talk radio host? I listened to Dick Staub for no less than eight years, but he was cancelled a couple months back.

4.)Should the U.S. be part of the U.N.? As the organization exists today, yes.

5.)Who is the most influential figure in the Y2K GI movement? Too many to list, but I haven't seen Paula Gorden listed, she is one of them.

6.)How will you feel towards the Pollys if Y2K turns out like you expect? I think it would come down to individual behavior. Although, I will be angry with certain Pollys that have a strong public influence, certain y2k czars, journalists & such. They have much more responsibility than the Polly that lives down the block.

7.)How will you feel towards the Pollys if Y2K turns out to be a bump in the road? No differently than I do now.

8.)Who are the most (a)despised and (b)respected persons on this forum? From what I have seen, (a)Ed Yourdon & (b)Ed Yourdon. Personally I don't despise anyone on this forum. Respect? There are too many to list, I don't want to hurt anyone by accidentally omitting them.

-- Deborah (infowars@yahoo.com), April 15, 1999.

1.)Did you vote for Bill Clinton in the last election? no
2.)Do you own a handgun? several
3.)Who is your favorite talk radio host? Howard Stern
4.)Should the U.S. be part of the U.N.? yes
5.)Who is the most influential figure in the Y2K GI movement? Gary North - not an endorsement, but he has in fact been the most influential
6.)How will you feel towards the Pollys if Y2K turns out like you expect? Sorry
7.)How will you feel towards the Pollys if Y2K turns out to be a bump in the road? indifferent
8.)Who are the most despised and respected persons on this forum? despised - Mutha Nachu ...she adds nothing to this forum. Respected - more then I can mention, but Big Dog, Diane, Chuck and Old Git come to mind.

1.)Did you vote for Bill Clinton in the last election?--nyetski, I'm a registered Libertarian, I think the dems and repubs are outdated and out of touch

2.)Do you own a handgun?--da-and maybe as good a shot as my pal sheet flapper

3.)Who is your favorite talk radio host?--toss up, boortz, bell, or rense

4.)Should the U.S. be part of the U.N.?--absolutely not, let the canadians have em, or the french, or better yet the swiss

5.)Who is the most influential figure in the Y2K GI movement?--got to be gary north just from the public impact he's made--unscientific poll of clueless dgi's I know at least they heard of him, none of the other players are on their radar screens yet

6.)How will you feel towards the Pollys if Y2K turns out like you expect?---same way I do now, most pollys are polly about so many other things it's pitiful-no storm preps until a tornado hits, no firearms until they're raped or mugged, no emergency gear in their vehicles until they are stranded in a blizzard, etc--my take is just plain sadness and mostly bewilderment

7.)How will you feel towards the Pollys if Y2K turns out to be a bump in the road?---exact same answer as #6

8.)Who are the most despised and respected persons on this forum?-- haven't been here long enough, wonder why ed yourdon doesn't write more, unless he's one of these folks who posts with a handle like getlost@nobodyhome.con or something-

Thank You!-welcome, didn't take much time, and always proud to get on another list--now where did i put that star of david???

-- zog (zog@avana.net), April 15, 1999.

Mark,

In trying to understand the psychology of the GI movement, I wonder if some of you could answer a few questions?

You are like someone who wants to understand a butterfly, so you kill it and stick it under a microscope. "GI" is not a "movement," it is an "awareness." The polarization of this subject into "no problem" vs. "armageddon" is simplistic, childish, ridiculous -- and designed for marketing reasons. You do not need to be part of that if you are truly interested in learning something.

1.)Did you vote for Bill Clinton in the last election?

I didn't vote for anybody. In California where I grew up, they always told us who was President before it was even my time to go to the polls. That kind of indoctrinated me against thinking my vote made any difference whatever.

2.)Do you own a handgun?

I don't own any weapon. Not even a hunting knife. I am hoping to acquire at least some good knives though, and maybe a rifle.

3.)Who is your favorite talk radio host?

I don't listen to talk radio. I have on occasion heard a couple (such as being in a friends' car when one was turned on). That's about it.

4.)Should the U.S. be part of the U.N.?

The United States is already a member of the United Nations, last I heard. If you mean, should we (or any country) hand our leadership over to them, no, but why would that even be a question?

5.)Who is the most influential figure in the Y2K GI movement?

Again you are simplifying beyond what allows reasonable understanding. The biggest influence for personal sanity, research, respect, that depends on who you talk to. Influence for simply getting the information OUT THERE for everybody to lock into and grow from there on, I'd say Gary North. Influence for having the most effect on society right now, that's easy, John Koskinen. You have to be specific. Roleigh Martin was the fellow who made me aware that people with brains and reason and morals worth respecting were taking this seriously.

6.)How will you feel towards the Pollys if Y2K turns out like you expect?

Again you oversimplify. Do you think there is ONE multiple choice option that every single person who is concerned about Y2K is expecting? Even your "polly's" ref reflects over simplification, it's as insulting as the other way around. Plenty of optimists have very different points of view and degrees of concern themselves. I will not feel anything in particular toward them as a group. I will feel sorry for those I cannot help, and exasperated for those I have to.

7.)How will you feel towards the Pollys if Y2K turns out to be a bump in the road?

Please define "bump in the road." You see, the average person I know could live quite happily for probably 10 days just on old stuff seldom eaten in the cupboards, etc. Heat might be an issue but otherwise, no big deal. I would see a bump in the road as anything over about 20 days of infrastructure outtage in a given area. However my government seems to be telling me that a bump in the road is only 3 days. Heck I'd be glad to have 3 days off to catch up on sleep if the power in my company was off. So it depends on which definition you're using of 'bump.'

That being said, if it turns out by some blessed miracle to be inconvenient but not so bad, I will look back on the "pollys" and think, "Boy were they lucky that their optimism or denial didn't kill them." And I will look back on the "GIs" and think, "I hope this sponsors a movement about self sufficiency, organic gardening, alternate technologies, and other issues that could be a wonderful change of direction for our culture. As I said in another thread about Ed Yourdon, if Y2K is *not* a major concern, I will still look back on the "leaders" of the "GIs" with respect, as people doing what I hope I would have done in their place.

8.)Who are the most despised and respected persons on this forum?

Read the forum and come to your own conclusions. That's an odd question. Let me guess. You are putting all this together in an article about Y2K, where you will allege yourself to be an expert journalist on the topic, having fully "educated" yourself about it by means of a small and badly written questionnaire?

If I am wrong, I apologize for being abrasive.

1.)Did you vote for Bill Clinton in the last election?

Not bloody likely!

2.)Do you own a handgun?

Pass.

3.)Who is your favorite talk radio host?

Jeff Rense.

4.)Should the U.S. be part of the U.N.?

We're too far gone for that kind of question :)

5.)Who is the most influential figure in the Y2K GI movement?

Gary North for public awareness - my vote - Mr. Hamasaki.

6.)How will you feel towards the Pollys if Y2K turns out like you expect?

Numb. Sad. Angry.

7.)How will you feel towards the Pollys if Y2K turns out to be a bump in the road?

Same as I feel now - most are clueless as to what is going on in the real world. They/We got lucky. This time.

8.)Who are the most despised and respected persons on this forum?

Despised - far too strong. The nearest would be that mercenary Jerry Chittum. Respected - far too many to name names. Dieter.

This has got to be one of the most egocentric list of questions I've seen in a long time. So I'll answer just as egocentrically:

1.)Did you vote for Bill Clinton in the last election? No, our last election was a local election. Nobody by that name ran here.

2.)Do you own a handgun? No, they are mostly illegal here. I don't recall ever having seen one, other than on TV or an old one in a museum.

3.)Who is your favorite talk radio host? Talk radio? YUCK!

4.)Should the U.S. be part of the U.N.? Your problem. However, if the US does choose to participate, it needs to pay what it owes.

5.)Who is the most influential figure in the Y2K GI movement? I don't think that a) there is a 'movement' nor b) that any one person can be selected.

6.)How will you feel towards the Pollys if Y2K turns out like you expect? For the ones who lose their jobs, houses, etc., I'll feel very sorry. For those who lose more, bereaved.

7.)How will you feel towards the Pollys if Y2K turns out to be a bump in the road? Relieved.

8.)Who are the most despised and respected persons on this forum? I think that's already been answered, but I can add a couple to the respected list that I don't remember seeing - Rob Michaels and Chris (catsy). I can even tell you why. Rob is the master of starting fun threads and make me think threads. Chris thinks better in English than I do, although it's her second language and she has a bigger heart than most nurses I've met (and theirs are generally larger than population norm). Oh, I forgot to mention Donna, she of the ENFP (like me).And there's Andy, and No Spam - when they remember not to squabble. Oh and...

-- Tricia the Canuck (jayles@telusplanet.net), April 16, 1999.

1.)Did you vote for Bill Clinton in the last election?

No. Integrity and honesty matter with me.

2.)Do you own a handgun?

NA

3.)Who is your favorite talk radio host?

NPR as a whole. No other favorite 'host'.

4.)Should the U.S. be part of the U.N.?

Yes, but our influence should match our 25% share of their funding they try to lay on our shoulders. On the other hand, if they keep demanding money we should deduct the back rent on the property they use in New York and the legal fines they always refuse to pay the city when they break the laws us peons must live under.

5.)Who is the most influential figure in the Y2K GI movement?

I would guess Ed Yourdon, but thats entirely subjective.

6.)How will you feel towards the Pollys if Y2K turns out like you expect?

Sad. I don't like to see people suffer but then again I also believe Darwin was right.

7.)How will you feel towards the Pollys if Y2K turns out to be a bump in the road?

Darn happy. I would love to be wrong about this. I still won't like them, but I would happily pronounce them 100% correct if true.

8.)Who are the most despised and respected persons on this forum?

No answer. I don't go out of my way to denigrate and insult people even if the trolls do.

-- Art Welling (artw@lancnews.infi.net), April 16, 1999.

Sorry... what I meant was and I respect INVAr, rick blane, Arlin, Donna and others. Sorry about that!! :) :)

-- Crono (Crono@timesend.com), April 16, 1999.

1.) Did you vote for Bill Clinton in the last election?

NO!!!!!!!

2.) Do you own a handgun?

No.

3.) Who is your favorite talk radio host?

None -- rarely listen. (Did enjoy Dr. Laura a few times). However, a couple times a month occasionally listen to Art Bell when he has a Y2K guest, and someone on the forum posts an alert.

4.) Should the U.S. be part of the U.N.?

YES!! (But the group needs a total united revamping, with a humanitarian focus).

5.) Who is the most influential figure in the Y2K GI movement?

Tie between the Y twins ... Yourdon & Yardeni ... its all about computers and money. (Runners up ... Senators Bennett & Dodd).

6.) How will you feel towards the Pollys if Y2K turns out like you expect?

Compassion ... enough to help out my community and neighbors, to the best of my limited abilities.

Extreme sadness ... for their eyes closed mentality and inability to see global impact potentials on local livelihoods.

Resolve ... to see that never again, are we ruled by denial and fear, but welcome openness, truth, tolerance and honesty.

7.) How will you feel towards the Pollys if Y2K turns out to be a bump in the road?

Compassion ... that they cant see beyond their own limitations, nor learn greater lessons.

Gratitude ... for all the massive hard work put in by programmers, organizers, emergency managers, etc. (By clutter clearing the code and going through the contingency planning process, they will have all contributed to a stronger, more resilient, more self and other aware interdependent world).

Hope ... that they do as well (i.e. get lucky or get prepared) for the next natural or manmade disaster (including upcoming California earthquakes, et. al.).

8.) Who are the most despised and respected persons on this forum?

The word despised is inappropriate. The most annoying are the disruptive troll-types.

Most respected ... the whole Yourdonite research team ... working, and laughing, together!!! (Along with Kevins awesome links).

Not really talk show hosts but: secular-Garrison Keilor (sp?), Christian-Chuck Swindoll and James Dobson. 4. Yes 5. Michael Hyatt because his material started the ball rolling for me to GI. 6. They can eat at my house-on the front porch, in the cold, beans and rice over a buddy burner, and only after they have worked. If they have guns, they can eat for free. Most despised? Those who ridicule those who prepare, those who can't seem to disagree without being foul-mouthed or resort to name-calling. Most respected? Those who present well-documented, researched links to information, those who don't mind being asked for verification of their posts, those whose posts reflect an attitude of respect for others. Thanks, Moore Dinty Moore! When I first read your post I thought I was the most despised. :-0 Then I read it again. :-) And thanks to my "fan" whoever you are! :-) Now for the poll:

1.)Did you vote for Bill Clinton in the last election? NO!

2.)Do you own a handgun? Yes, and a .22 LR

3.)Who is your favorite talk radio host? Don't listen to talk radio

4.)Should the U.S. be part of the U.N.? Part of, OK. Ruled by, NO way!

5.)Who is the most influential figure in the Y2K GI movement? Many... Yourdon & Yardeni have done a lot, so has Bennett. But I've heard an overwhelming number of people say they "Got it" through Gary North

6.)How will you feel towards the Pollys if Y2K turns out like you expect? Actually, Y2K is only one of the problems that I believe is going to bring about economic meltdown. For those who don't "see" what is coming... I will truly feel sorry for them. I believe they will be terribly shaken. If people die, I will be heart-broken.

7.)How will you feel towards the Pollys if Y2K turns out to be a bump in the road? Even if Y2K in the U.S. is a bump in the road, we can't continue to hold up the rest of the world economically. I won't relax until all of the other global economies recover.

8.)Who are the most despised and respected persons on this forum? This reminds me of games we played in school. It is conducive to clicks, which I never cared for. Many people bring awesome contributions to this forum. I do get disappointed with name calling. Opinions are how a person really feels. We're all entitled to our own.

Thank You! No problem! :-)

2) yup

3) jeff rense (www.sightings.com)

MDM, To get a list of items in a post to be on separate lines, you follow each line with a "less than" sign followed by br followed by a "greater than" sign, aka left arrow and right arrow, respectively. Line 1.
Line 2.
