Who has not visited www.imagek.com ? If you did or you know more about this or similar electronic film system, please let me know.

This is the thing we all waited for: you can still use your professional SLR camera and us all the advantages of it, e.g. changing lenses, and still have electronic pictures...

I have been following this product/technology for almost a year now. My most recent cotact with the company confirms they will release the IMAGEK cartridge sometime this summer. They are still holding to the sub $800.00 price tag, and they will be the sole source of this product via the Internet. Although when I first heard of this product, the 1.3 megapixels they were promising was very competitive. Now it is pretty much standard and there are competitively priced cameras out there now producing 1.6-2.1 megapixels. Of course, you do not have the choices of lenses, that probably already exist, if you own a 35mm SLR. This IMAGEK cartride will also be available in the APS format as well. I believe once IMAGEK (division of Irving Sensors)starts generating revenue, we will see 1.6 and 2.1 megapixel images.
