What's the best compact Zoom camera?

I currently own an MX700 camera, and often carry it in my pocket when traveling. The only thing it lacks is a zoom (and a lens hood).

What other camera comes close in compactness but offers a zoom lens, handles well, and has good picture quality?

Currently I'm drawn towards the Olympus C-2000Z, but I'm afraid of it being twice as thick as the Fuji ...

For sheer size the Canon A5 Zoom is pretty small. The Olympus D-400Z is small, too (same size as a D-220L/D-320L).

The C-2000 Zoom is definitely thicker, won't fit in the "standard" shirt pocket. REALLY nice little camera though! For size, the nod would go to the A5 Zoom, although the Oly D400 definitely wins in pixels. The new Canon A50 looks to have the same A5 form factor, but the pixel count of the D400...
