Y2K EVENT IN CLOVERDALE

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Sonoma County : One Thread

The Cloverdale Chamber of Commerce will host a Y2K/Disaster Preparedness program at its monthly dinner meeting on April 21, 6-8 p.m., at the Chamber office. The program will be focused on disaster preparation for the community and an information exchange from a variety of speakers ranging from the power industry to financial institutions, public works, public schools and emergency crews. Moderator for the evening will be Ed Bowen, Chamber Director, from Exchange Bank.

The tone of the chamber's press release takes preparation for Y2K or other disasters very seriously. "Let's not be a community in denial about Y2K or other potential disaster. let us not say, "It could never happen here," notes a paragraph out of the chamber's newsletter announcing the event. Last day for dinner reservations is April 16.
