Does anyone know where to find any ideas or schematics of obstacle courses? I would like to set one up in my backyard(1/2 acre).

I've always found the DMV particularly useful in that regard, builds up stamina, patience, cunning and close combat skills :)

Army Field Manual FM 21-20 Army Physical Training has in it what you seek. Local recruiter or Guard Armory should be able to make available to you, or try to pull up on the net. Look at some of the new high tech playgrounds at newer schools and parks first, then improvise. Some cities/universities have some great climbing walls, which are a fabulous workout. Imagination and safety key, especially if accessible to others making you liable.
