2 Digit Question

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

When I first started researching Y2K and very badly wanted to be a DWGI (ah, those were the good old days, back in late '98), I kept convincing myself that Y2K wasn't going to be a problem because after all, I had just taken a little vacation to Canada and my credit cards which expire in 2000 worked (and billed) just fine.

Now, like everyone else, I still keep looking for little signs of compliance. When I get a bill and it uses the 04/08/1999, I assume that that particular company has at least that portion of their business end fixed. But if it reads 04/08/99, does that mean they don't? Just wondering. Thanks to you all for being there.
