Where's Greybear?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

I've noticed that Greybear has not posted a comment or answered questions in a long time. Has he not recovered from his eye surgery? I rely on his opinions and generally agree with them. Hope all is well. God bless. Mary

UNless I missed something a little bit ago, you may have mistaken Greybear's tongue-in-cheek black eyes for my laser surgery, which went quite well.

I talked to Greybear via e-mail last week and he was having modem problems. I hope that's all it is and he wasn't the regular who signed off anonymously earlier this week.

Greybear's distinctive scent can be detected here:

I imagine the Bear is fine-tuning his fuel intake for his personal biological weapon to be used for thug deterrant post Y2K.

Thanks, Mary, for the concern. I have been droping in for a quick lurk now and then, just haven't had time to post much. (Also afraid to try to post these days. Afraid of the venom that I'dl spew forth over the poltroon getting us into WWIII, and all for no good reason.)

I have had some modem problems, but mostly it's that pesky boss I have. He ACTUALLY expects me to work some every week, sometimes as much as 20-30 hours. Well at least that's all I try to do.

Sometimes one just gets stuck having to work a regular week and I want to tell you it is tough, I got into computers 20 years or so ago to avoid honest work. Lately I'm pretty disappointed that this is turning out to be all to much like real work.

I thought maybe you were hibernating, but given the warm weather it seemed a stretch. Glad you're back :)
