Can I use an SB-24 with the P67II?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Pentax 67 SLR : One Thread

While I don't get a dedicated flash for my P67II I want to know if I can use my Nikon SB-24 on automatic or manual. The camera's manual, of course, says a third party flash might damage the camera. Has anyone tried this? If I connect my SB-24 to my camera with a pc cable (through the x-synch contacts) I shouldn't have any problems, right?

Although I haven't tried it with the 67II, with a 67 the SB24 works fine. Just set the flash to manual (you may want to adjust the power level and the zoom), take a flash meter reading, set the camera's shutter at 1/30, set the appropriate apreture, and you are up an going. (Note--1/30 or less is fine).
