Does anyone know where the new Nikon 28-105mm lens is made? It seems like its going to be another huge hit for Nikon.

Mine says "Made in Japan". Though I can't confirm if that's where it's put together or not.

i wonder why you ask? are there "bad" places for lenses to be made? i want to make sure not to buy any lenses made in those places. (the last sentence was sarcasm, by the way)

What difference does it make WHERE the lens is made as long as it produces good pictures?
