Hindsight ? ? ? Would we be where we are if Klinton was out .....

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Have you wondered what would be if Uncle Billy was not President, the US would probably not be in Kosovo helping out the UN troops. The Military won't be using up it's arsenal of weapons to get more new one's next year. And we won't have to see pictures of our three military guys "captured" ??? Interesting how the Military uses pictures to help their cause, and make the American people feel," they need to get serious about this war". If it's not body counts, it's refugees crossing the borders, that we are so interested in to read about.

Too bad the President doesn't have the "Balls" to go and have a personal fist fight with Molsovitch. And settle this conflict the right way. Why does it take our family military members to actually defend other countries?

So if the President would have been impeached,we might not see this crap on TV. We would be seeing more important items in the news, like taking care of concerns within the US.

Course if Kosovo had a woman President, you know Klinton would be there seeing if he could resolve the situation, the best way he knows.

I'm just tired of all this crap in the news and we read it and discuss it and hash it over ,but nothing we say changes the mindless Congressmen and our so called leaders of the US Govt.

Every night I get on here to read the posts and wonder if we really make a difference by what we say ? I think I'll be like (one of the gang ) and fade away and get my life back on track. I know Y2K is coming and I've read the info, gotten the lists of seeds, to get the water filters to use,the generators to get and type of oil to use in lamps and all everythingelse is common sense things.

I have a life to lead and a family to care about, those things have been missing for the past 4-5 months, because I have been here watching and posting.

It's time to move on to my life, my concerns, my family !

Good nite from North Carolina !!! Good Luck to you all,it has been educational thank you.

I have always found it oddly funny that our peace loving liberal friends always land us in the stangest of places. I can almost hear the sound clips now... "I did not have sexual relations with that woman," "We will not send ground troops..." played right after the other. This ass head is trying to save his place in history. I can't believe that people my age, or younger, are being sent to fight this immoral war. Ooopppssss, police action. Hmmm... How did Viet Nam happen again?

The part that makes my heart sink is the fact that the American people elected this banana head twice. Now he has put us in the middle of a conflict that we can't get out of. To top it all off, Russia now decides that it might need to get involved, and all the while the "sleeping giant" (china) watches and waits for a unique opportunity with its new found advanced technology which banana head probably gave them. Folks, Y2K might be the least of our worries. One wrong move, one stupid mistake and we could be watching WWIII on CNN. Sorry for all the optimism.

I know how you feel Furie, I had to step back and take a breather for a month or so myself. As far as our government goes, I am in complete burnout. Best of luck to you and your loved ones in the New Year, drop us a line now and then.

Furie:

consider doing us the favor of checking in no more than once a month, say the last or first? You may be our only hope for an early warning system for our loss of sanity (you have been here and can tell us if we have all drifted to the left or right or whatever. You can be our sea anchor). As opposed to the folks who are trying to tell us, on a regular basis that we have lost it long ago.

don't ask Mrs Driver, she'll just quote the Pringles ad (Yeah, since '75)

I not an admirer of this administration, but get some perspective. If Reagan were still President, the Balkan war would now be 4 years old and Belgrade would be a parking lot.

What I want to know is: Where are the public opinion polls on his job approval rating right now? Anyone seen one?

To assure Bills legacy, I suggest he institute a prisoner exchange - himself for the three captured servicemen. Then we could all be happy.

I'm really fed up with all these insults to Clinton and to what we are doing over there. Get something straight, dumb heads: we're part of NATO, a multi-nation group, and we're not the only nation doing this! Okay? It's not like Clinton dreamed up the whole thing himself.

Yeah, it's a mess, but now we're in there and we have to finish the job. We should send in ground troops and get that monster out of Yugoslavia once and for all. Milosivich is the guy who brought this on himself, not Clinton. We gave him chance after chance to settle peacefully, and he is SYSTEMATICALLY DESTROYING AN ENTIRE PEOPLE.

Ever hear of GENOCIDE? God, what idiots you are!

You people make me sick. Love and support your country, or get the f**k out!
