Wild horses could not drag me to the ROSE PARADE ....

But then, that has always been true. ;-)

Probably wouldn't go unless the U of I was in the game (Iowa, that is.) JOKE! Joke! joke!

Hi, Bobaloha,

I'm still stuck trying to visualize the myriad religious tours marooned in Rome for the big papal event.

I speak with folks in the hospitality industry every day who tell me about the many tours and corporate groups who have booked their meetings many many miles from home...deposits down.

How're the games going to go, for that matter: the Superbowl, etc., in 2000?

The Super Bowl is scheduled for Atlanta, as usual in the last week of January - don't know the exact date.

At the latest GA legislative briefing for Y2K, when this was mentioned, we heard a rather subdued (and very unofficial) "Oh S**t." from several of the assembled members representing the governor's office.

Cobb County and the city of Marietta (where I get my services from) was one the first cities and counties to declare "remediation and testing complete" - last September. The Super Bowl is in downtown Atlanta - who is now suing their contractor about cancelling the contract to do their assessment - yes, you heard, the City of Atlanta doesn't have a contract in hand to to complete assessment yet!

My bet is that the Super Bowl will be held outdoors in the GA Tech Stadium using portable generators, portable lights, and portable potties.
