IMHO, time HAS run out. The first Q of 1999 is now over. The code is still broken. The work has not been done. The government is ramping up the spin. The CEO's are still in a fog. We must ask ourselves just one question at this point in the game. Do I understand the meaning of the word reliable? If not, look it up quickly! This is the one word that keeps our standard of living at the level it is. Now do a quick exercise. Put the prefix "UN" in front of this all important word, then follow it all the things that are important to your way of life. Some of these things may be, power, banking, communications, food water, heat, booze, smokes, gas, transportaion, ect. You have just looked into the very soul, of y2k. I know it is the old farts fault that the schools do not teach one how to think anymore, but this is about as simple as I can make it. The hour glass is about empty. As the captain of a sinking ship may say, save yourself, she's goin down!

Excellent post, SCOTTY. Along with "unreliable" comes the next step: untrustworthy. Even if computers "work", if what they tell us is unreliable, then we will no longer be able to trust them. This is just as bad as if they ceased functioning all together.

I'm with Gary North in hoping the whole government system will SHUT DOWN in 2000. I'm tired of this fast pace of life! Tired of all the traffic. Tired of all the tail gaters (mostly women!). Tired of all the damned income taxes. Tax this and tax that. There is no end to it! Only Y2K can end it and I hope the IRS will go down for good!

Our government has taken all our freedoms away from "We the People!" We need a license for this and a permit for that! It is all bullshit! Just a way to take money away from us!

The courts systems are totally corrupt and there is no chance in hell that anybody can get a fair trial anymore. Just ask all the divorced fathers! She gets the mine and he gets the shaft! The judges are bigger criminals than the criminals they are trying in their courts! How can anybody get a fair tial when the conviction rate is over 97%?

When you ask for the protection of your Constitutional Rights in Court, the Judge tells you to shut up and sit down! This happened to me! All Judges have perjured their oath of office to uphold the Constitution!

I'M JUST TIRED OF ALL THE GOVERNMENT FRAUD, INCLUDING CLINTON!!!
