I think people are slowly waking up to Y2K

Went to lunch today at a local chain restaurant and while standing at the cash register, noticed stack of 2 page flyers on Y2K. I asked who put them out and the manager said that she had. I asked her what the response was to them and she said, "I've gone through 500 in about a week. People are asking if they can take extras for friends and family". It was an excellent flyer, taking excerpts from Ed's and Michael Hyatt's work. Immediate preparations were suggested due to the obvious (to us) reasons. Lots of good resource referrences.

I have already referrenced the increase of oil lamps in stock at my local Walmart. I am seeing more and more signs in front of churches promoting Y2K Community Forum meetings (I am going to one near my home on April 11).

Although our local media coverage has to date, sucked, it appears that a number folks here in Charlotte have reached the "awareness" phase. Let's hope they proceed directly to preparation.

Went to my son and daughter in law's home yesterday. I had not mentioned Y2k to them since last summer and they had not brought it up to me. First thing my daughter-in-law had to show me was the food they were stocking in the coat closet and the pantry. Plus bottled water in the garage. Maybe a seed I planted last summer. Who knows?
