Y2K MEETINGS THIS WEEK

SANTA ROSA Y2K -- A Community Y2K Meeting will be held at Strawberry School's multi-purpose room from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 30. The school is located at 2311 Horshoe Dr. in Santa Rosa. Organizer Christine Johnson hopes this meeting will be a springboard to help residents learn to rebuild community in case of natural disasters or Y2K-induced scenarios. This will also be an opportunity for Santa Rosa residents to begin networking for city-wide Y2K neighborhood organizing. Christine Johnson, 579-4386.

GEYSERVILLE Y2K -- Geyserville Y2K: 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, at the Ed Park. Major agenda item will be the draft of the material they will make available to the community beginning at the April 6 Planning Committee meeting.

SONOMA Y2K FORUM -- The April Y2K Community Forum will be held on Thursday, April 1, at Newman Auditorium, 7:30-9:30 p.m., on the Santa Rosa Junior College Campus. The focus of the agenda will be community organizing and a Y2K Practice Day interactive with Alan and Donna Jones. Peter Rowell will give an Y2K Update called "Why We Should Still Prepare Even Though The Lights May Stay On."

SONOMA VALLEY Y2K- The next Y2K Discussion & Support Groups will meet at the Sonoma Holistic Center, behind Adobe Drugs, on April 3 at 6 p.m. General themes for discussion will be food, food storage, herbal first aid and supplements to store for preparation. Please come with a list of questions and other contributions. There are no guest speakers at these meetings, although Sophia Compton will be facilitating and will have handbooks available.

Independent site) and have just joined the forum and want to thank you for this incredible service you are contributing to the people of our area. You are doing a magnificent job. What a dynamite local Y2K site...how fortunate we are!
