Recharging Batteries

What is the best policy in recharging batteries. I have seen some folks who say they wait until they go completely down, while others say they charge them every night. What "say Ye?"

For NiCad, one has to have it totally discharged(completely down) once in a while because of memory effect. For NiMH, it is ok to recharge in the middle without side effect.

However, I thought most batteries has some life span which is measured by how many times they can be recharged. So I would usually wait till it is completely down.

Consider using a charger with a conditioning capability. This discharges/conditions the battery prior to recharge. See thomas-distributing.com/ 1-800-821-2769
