The things you can find at Salvation Army stores!

Today, I found a Back to Basics Dough Mixer (priced on the Web at $69.95) and bought it for $4.99.

My problem: No directions.

Anyone know how this thing works? (More specificically, what is that latch doohicky thing on the top?)
