WLS (Chicago radio station) has monthly program devoted to Y2K

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Just thought you might be interested in knowing that the Debra Rowe show (WLS in Chicago) is spending an hour, the last Sunday of each month, to discuss Y2K. She will be hosting various guests in different Y2K roles, from govt. and industry to even some who are warning of the chilling prospects.

On the first week (almost 2 mos. ago), she had John Koskinen. Last month, it was someone who warned that people really do need to be prepared, even tho no one knows how bad things will be. Next Sunday, she said she has invited 2 reps from utilities, but she mentioned, yesterday, that she is a little disturbed from the lack of response she is getting, so far.

She is very fair and open minded, and I give her a heap of credit for taking this step. She said that as the year advances, she will start increasing the time she is setting aside for Y2K to 2 hours a month!

For those of you who want to catch the program, it is starts at 9 a.m., Chicago time, lasting 3 hours; the last hour is the one devoted to Y2K.
