340R or 400Z

I am aware of your promise of coming out with a updated review of the 340R.But for about $200 more, would you think the 400Z is worth it for the optical zoom? How about their comparative performance on focusing, and low light condition?

If you can "spring" for the extra cash go for the D400Z. You will like it much better with the optical zoom. Yes the low light shots are good also. And usually the focus problems are "operator trouble" on most cameras.

So i got the 340R last week. The flash and focus were just like 220, 320 etc. They were UNreliable! So, i returned it and stepped up to 400Z today(the beauty of Price Club, no problem!) 400Z is what an ideal pocket camera should be.It is as good as my Big Mini Zoom.No complain. Vote yes for 400Z!Don't buy from Worldwide Enterprises. They lie.

I have a 340R and I'm very pleased with it. I've had no problems with the flash and I believe the reported problems with low light level focussing are actually camera shake. The 340R will drop the shutter speed to half a second in low light conditions, so use a tripod.

I chose the 340 over the 400 partly because of the price difference, but also because the 340 is more compact - I carry mine with me most of the time.
