Steve- Like the rest of the shots on your web page, this one is beautiful (BTW I've been meaning to ask you if that jaguar from Belize was capitive?). I'm guessing that the bird's body has a bit more detail in the slide than shows on my monitor, and that would be nitpicking anyway.

The juxtaposition of the mature egret in the background, just out of focus enough so as not to detract from the main subject, but in focus enought to be easily identified, makes this shot special. I minor suggestion. The piece of yellow petal in the upper right is a little distracting.

Excellent view of the egret's protruding head and neck feathers (on what looks like a "bad hair day"). Good shot!

Great job of getting both birds in the frame WITH their neck feathers erect. My hats off to your ability to get such great behavior. The exposure on the white bird seems quite hot though, almost blown out on the body, with no detail at all. On my screen, the bird also appears yellow. I realize that these are nitpicks, but they are distracting. Nice shot either way. The white phase can be hard to find, and they are wonderfully beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
