Incidentally, please note that this is a threat, not a promise, so to speak, perhaps intended to cower the firms to get their parts in gear. Even so, just another little example that for some reason, someone, somewhere, is taking Y2K seriously... don't know why, though...

Good to see a fire being lit under some of these organizations. This story bears watching. I wonder if taking action 'near the end of the year' allows sufficient time for mergers or reassignment of accounts.
