War games in San Francisco(not Monterey)

Did anyone hear of some war games being conducted in San Francisco? I saw a partial segment on TV and that some protestors were taken to jail. I don't think it was Monterey because that was several days ago. I'm pretty sure it was S.F. but not sure. Is anyone counting how many military exercises are going on in different cities around the country? I grew up during Viet Nam and I don't recall the military doing anything like this in the cities before.

It goes on all the time. The national guard conducts drills all the time as well. Nobody usually pays attention, but in light of Y2K, the media has picked up on it.

Yeah, its funny. I cannot recall a full mobilization of the National Guard before in this nation's history. Come to think of it, I cannot recall the National Guard Adjucent General appearing before a senate subcommitee hearing asking this country's congress for funds needed to cooperate with the military, if needed of course, in disarming American citizens. Oh, and let us not forget about the various training exercises being conducted jointly in cooperation with branches of the military, FEMA, and local law enforcement in our urban cities over the past year. Can't recall the planned storming of a United States beachfront outside a civilian population for the purpose of "real-life" training experience. I would have to imagine that someone over the years might have reported on formations of Blackhawks and Apaches skimming treetops in the darkness of their cities while military personel rappelled down the sides of buildings and blew up abandoned office buildings. You can only chalk things up to coincidence for so long my friends.
