Diane -- I can't get into the document with my Adobe Acrobat reader. Any suggestions? Libby in DC

Libby,You may need to close your AA reader, and increase it's memory. (If you can do that on a PC).
I tried sending the PDF URL to the Adobe text translator but for some unknown reason, it's not accepting it. A text version is not yet up at GAO. Could you e-mail them and ask when?
The report is "light" but there ARE some hard hitting Y2K D.C. statements in it. Can you say "ouch."

Diane -- Done! We'll see what they have to say...

So our nation's capital is behind a FULL YEAR, eh? And on MISSION CRITICAL systems. The implications of this are staggering. My mind has been racing since I read it; visions of the capitol burning, thousands dying in a bitter DC winter. This is major. What are the DC inner-city folks going to do when Big Brother is no long there to take care of them? And are there any programmers out there willing to brave a darkened city to try to solve the problem post-2000?Jeannie
