Retraction: Fatality Cited Yesterday Was Not near Raleigh Nuke; It was near a South Carolina nuke owned by same company.

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Yesterday I posted that CP&L reported to the NRC that a dead person was found on March 15 in a car on the road used to access the recently beleagured Raleigh nuke plant. The report lists unknown cause of death.

Closer reading of the report shows that the fatality was near a South Carolina nuclear plant owned by the same utility company.

There is still no indication that the fatality is in any way relevant to the operation of the facility.

I wonder if all those that 'hinted' at a connection or made insinuations about the company also retract their pathetic conspirational mindset.

Hi Puddintame, thanks for having the guts to say you were wrong. Given the innumerable right posts you've made, I don't think you need feel badly about this aberration. Craig, it must feel so good to be so superior.

Well I must admit to be somewhat redfaced on this. It shows the danger of my trying to go outside of my field to interpret anything. I saw "Robinson security" and assumed it was like Pinkerton security. I'm certainly glad I didn't try to draw any unfounded conclusions about the incident.

Fortunately, this is not the New York Times. Besides, I don't even have an editor, although I certainly need one. I will still go full throttle on this stuff, and I'll still make good faith errors in an effort to put stuff up for public discussion as soon as possible. A factual error does not have a long life span with this crowd. I will guarantee only my good faith, not my accuracy.

I am still curious about the fatality. Anyone near the Robinson facility?
