Switching sounds using a peddle

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Kurzweil Users : One Thread

Hi,

I've got a question regarding switching souds via a peddle. I know how it works on the footswitch page and so on, but I use the sustain peddle which came with the k25. Now my problem is that when I step on the peddle the sound switches (within a setup, but when I release it the sound switches back. How can I make it that when I touch the peddle the sound switches without holding the peddle down. Or is it impossible with a sustainpedal, and do I need to get a small clickpeddle

I should not matter what kind of pedal you are using. Any footswitch will work. To properly answer this question, it depends on exactly how you are doing this. From your note, it suggests that you are staying within the SAME setup, just doing a program change on one of the Zones. Is this correct? If so, rather than do a program change, simply do a MUTE/UNMUTE (TOGGLE MODE not MOMEMTARY) to turn on and off different zones as needed.

Otherwise, I'd suggest setting the pedal to the DATAINC parameter. This will simply move you to the next available setup. From SETUP 200, to 201 for example.

Hope this helps, Mike
