Need Address?!

In the answer #5 of "General Question about Lab", Steve said the slave will respond to any transaction. Does this mean the slave will respond to the bridge even though the bridge doesn't put any address on the AD line at the beginning of the transaction? (assume that other signal such as c/be# are asserted correctly.)

Yes, any address will do. Since there is only a single data register, and any (valid) transaction goes there, you don't need an address. (If you think about it, to address 1 location you need log2(1) = 0 bits of address.)
