Good job of getting close and filling the frame!

I love the colors, vibrant and lushious!

But there's something in me that wants to say that it might be too busy...something I can't put my finger on. First thing I said when I saw it was wow, but then it puzzles me and I don't know why....

Good shot though! Any more of these somewhere?

I agree that the colors are wonderful ... and in such bright sunshine! What I find missing is the "faces" of a few flowers. All the blooms are shot from the side except for one flower along the lower edge of the frame. Did you also try getting just a few of the flowers in a smaller grouping? I'd really like to see what a smaller section of these poppies look like --- lkj

Nice job on getting somewhat of a different perspective. Good shot.

Yes, I took several shots and one or two of them are from a slightly higher angle and therefore show more of the face of some of the flowers. They also have one or more of the flowers closer which makes them bigger and more prominent. Unfortunately, I only have this one scanned at the moment.

A beautiful, sunny day shot. It doesn't really bother me that the faces are turned to the left. The blue in the distance really makes the shot for me; otherwise would not be very special.

A wonderful image! The poppies in the foreground seem to leap right out at me. I think that there is not enough DOF though. The flowers in the back are far out of focus. The single poppy highlighted against the sky and out of focus give the whole image a soft feel.
